Magnesium - 3 Things Everyone Needs To Know
Magnesium is the miracle mineral that nobody seems to measure correctly. Yet, almost everyone is deficient. It’s essential to your health. Here's what you need to know:
It Is The Miracle Mineral
Magnesium is needed for hundreds of biological processes, including energy creation. Every cell needs it. Your heart depends on it. Magnesium calms nerves, which is why it helps with cramps and sleep. If you could choose only one supplement, it would be magnesium. That is not a small thing to say!
Almost Everyone Is Deficient
Studies show that nearly everyone is deficient in magnesium. The food that once contained enough no longer does because our soils are depleted. All the great functional doctors underscore this point.
You Aren't Measuring Correctly
A 500mg magnesium tablet contains only a fraction of actual magnesium, called elemental magnesium. This is because magnesium is always bound to another molecule - a malate or glycinate or citrate or threonate. The other molecule makes up most of the weight.
To work out the actual magnesium, use 15% as a rough estimate. So, a 500mg tablet contains approximately 75mg of actual (elemental) magnesium. Use 8% for magnesium threonate. Most people think they're getting enough when, in fact, they aren't even close.
How Much Magnesium Do You Need?
Aim for 500mg per day. Supplement with 150mg - 200mg and get the rest from food. Avocados, nuts and spinach are healthy, low-carb foods with good magnesium levels.
REPOWR Helps
Each REPOWR sachet contains 100mg of elemental magnesium.
When Should You Take It?
Take REPOWR during the day, if you need hydration, or a magnesium supplement if you don't need hydration. Magnesium glycinate, malate or citrate are good choices. Take magnesium at night for better sleep. Magnesium threonate is best.
Some well-formulated magnesium supplements contain triple magnesium, which means 3 forms of magnesium. The good brands are formulated for quality and bio-availability.
